Adelinde Cornelissen and Jerich Parzival back on top of world rankings
(FEI) - Adelinde Cornelissen (NED) and Jerich Parzival, the London 2012 Olympic silver medallists, have reclaimed the world number one spot in the FEI World Dressage Rankings. The pair have a 97-point lead over Helen Langehanenberg and Damon Hill NRW, who have moved up one slot to second place after clinching the 2013 Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage title - their first FEI World Cup victory - last weekend in Gothenburg (SWE). Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro, who became the first British combination to head the FEI World Dressage Rankings in September last year after their double gold medal performances at the London 2012 Olympic Games, are now in third with 2,563 points. ...

Participants Enjoy Third Markel/USEF Young Horse Dressage Training Session at Rosebrook Farm
(USEF) - Lexington, KY - The third Markel/USEF Young Horse Dressage Training Session of 2013 wrapped up Sunday at Rosebrook Farm in Georgetown, Massachusetts. The two-day clinic featured 13 horses between the ages of four and six and was once again taught by USEF Young Horse Coach Scott Hassler. “It was nice to visit the New England area a second time for a Markel/USEF Young Horse Dressage Training Session. Participation from the auditors, owners, breeders and trainers who attended was terrific,” said Hassler. “The participating horses were a great mixture of U.S.-bred and imported horses and overall, the quality was quite nice. NEDA Fall Symposium Running Earlier This Year and Volunteers Are Needed
(NEDA) - This year, the Fall Symposium is earlier than usual, so mark your calendars now! It will be held at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester, ME. The presenter will be Christoph Hess, Head of Education and Training at the DOKR and FEI "I" judge. Also, there will be a seminar for professionals the Friday before the symposium, 9/27. NEDA Announces Scholarship Winners
(NEDA) - Congratulations to the latest recipients of NEDA Scholarships! Three scholarships were awarded in April of 2013. Joy Congdon of Shelburne, VT received a Professional Scholarship to study with Kathy Connelly and Anne Gribbons to confirm the Grand Prix with her mare, Wixen. Nora Batchelder of Williston, FL received a Professional Scholarship to study with Shelly Francis develop grand Prix at the international level. Heather Blitz Bookends Wins in CDIO 3* Week
(USEF) - Blitz and Paragon finished first in the FEI Grand Prix Special CDIO 3* with a 72.313%, narrowly beating fellow American Cesar Parra and Van the Man who finished second with a 72.208%. Shelly Francis (USA) and Doktor rounded out the top three with a final score of 70.646%. Judges for the class were: Linda Zang at E, Anne Gribbons at H, Mirabel Alonso at C, Joan Macartney at M, and Evi Eisenhardt at B.
