The Rocas do Vouga Musketeers Live to Fight Another Day (Lusitanos at the WEG!)

Caen, France, August 28

It was a learning experience par excellence for Brazil’s number one dressage family during the two-day team competition in Caen, Normandy. Disappointing, of course, but this very young team remains refreshingly optimistic

Brothers, Pedro and Manuel Tavares de Almeida, who both rode on dressage day one (Monday), suffered some of the worst weather, with seven hours of torrential downpours. First into the arena – his debut as a Brazilian international – Pedro and Samba, appeared a little tense, not surprisingly, but soon relaxed into the test and discovered their stride to produce some brilliant moments in passage and piaffe – movements at which Samba excels. Their flying changes were faultless, albeit lacking some forward momentum. The only major error came in the half-pass transition when Samba broke stride for several beats, but it was otherwise a atarax 10mg, order atarax online, purchase atarax online, atarax price, hydroxyzine 25mg, order hydroxyzine, purchase hydroxyzine. order atarax meritorious effort for a partnership that has completed barely more than a handful of Grand Prix outings.

Pedro: “Riding in the WEG arena was the most exciting sporting experience I’ve had in my life. I could deeply feel that the thousands of people in the stands were cheering for me to achieve my best. It was truly fantastic – remarkable motivation to continue competing and improving my riding skills.”

The ground conditions had definitely worsened by the afternoon when Manuel entered the arena with Viheste – splashing through the standing water in parts of the arena, pushing the drainage to its limits. Ironically, Manu suffered a similar fault to Pedro and Samba when they broke stride during one of their half-pass transitions, but at a different point in the test. They are twins, after all! Otherwise, Viheste produced a very good passage, his two-time flying changes carried more impulsion than the one-times, but their walk sequences have seen huge improvement.

Manuel: “I noticed during the warm-up arena that Viheste was starting to become a little uncomfortable with the buy amoxil online, amoxil drops dosage, amoxicillin dosage bladder. rain and all the puddles. But I was so pleased to be representing Brazil in such a noble sport, and I was so proud of how he performed. He is quite young but once more confirmed to me that he is a really trustworthy partner.”

Pedro and Samba averaged 61.529, below their personal best, and there were quite wide ranging marks from the judges. Manuel and Viheste’s result was also slightly below their best score (63.057).

Sadly, Luiza Tavares de Almeida, elegantly attired in her Brazilian army uniform, suffered a fate that every dressage rider prays to avoid. Little more than a minute into her test the bell rang after the 17-year-old 15 sep 2010 … buy zyban without prescription, what do spokane, missoula montana, and medford oregon have in common. canadian pharmacy zyban, they … Pastor went lame and they were eliminated from the competition.

Luiza: “I would like top quality medications. cheap dapoxetine online. approved pharmacy, buy dapoxetine . to deeply thank everyone for their support and solidarity. Pastor’s situation was very sad, one false step inside the arena, but he is already okay. I am also sad not to have had the opportunity to show our improvements having dedicated so much time and investment in the sport.

“It’s unbelieveable, but I’m sure this experience will only make us stronger. I am already fighting to reach the next dream.”

Such are the trials and tribulations of equestrian sport.
